Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the book, which proves again how subjective the issue of representation can be. I was excited to read Colin Fischer for two reasons: one, it’s one of the few YA books I know of with a textually acknowledged autistic protagonist that’s actually written by an autistic author, as co-author Stentz has spoken openly about his being on the spectrum two, the book came recommended to me.
